How to Make Party Poppers
If confetti guns are too much for you but you still want to have some fun with minor explosions at your next party, you might want to make your own party poppers. You can make them easily with beautiful confetti in any color scheme that you like.

Have a helper stretch the mouth of the balloon open several inches. Place two or three fingers on each side of the balloon and pull your hands apart so that there is a "bowl" you can fill.

Roll the paper into a funnel. The funnel mouth should be about 1/2 inch to 1 inch in diameter.

Funnel confetti into the balloon. Hold the funnel over the balloon "bowl." Dump a large or a small amount of confetti into the balloon. Do this for as many balloons as you want party poppers.

Blow up the balloons. Be careful not to let the air in the balloons blow back into your mouth as you are blowing them up, or you could get a mouthful of confetti.

Tie the balloons tightly as you finish blowing them up.

Tips & Warnings
Use hatpins to pop the balloons. When you do, confetti will fly everywhere. You can store your party poppers in a large trash bag until you are ready to hand them out.
