Instructions

    • 1

Fill a sink with lukewarm water, not hot. Add 2 tablespoons of detergent for delicates such as Woolite.

    • 2

Dip the skirt in the water and swish around a few times, use your hands to move it through the water vigorously yet gently. Dip and raise the skirt several times allowing the soapy water to sluice through the fabric.

    • 3

Drain the water and rinse the skirt thoroughly with lukewarm running water until all traces of detergent are gone.

    • 4

Lay a towel down flat and place the skirt on top of it. Smooth the skirt out into its natural shape, removing wrinkles as much as possible.

    • 5

Place a second towel on top of the skirt and roll the towels up with the skirt between them. This will safely and gently wring out and absorb excess water. Unroll the skirt and hang it on a skirt hanger, to completely dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • The longer you keep the skirt rolled up in the towel, the drier it will be before you hang it up.

  • Try not to crumple and wring the skirt as this can damage the delicate lace and possibly cause snags.
