How to Use the Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask

Pampering your skin with a regular facial mask can remove the dirt and impurities lurking in your pores. Warming masks, in particular, are especially beneficial because the heat opens your pores so the cleansing agents can do their work. That's the idea behind the Body Shop's Warming Mineral Mask---a skincare product that contains clay, cinnamon oil and ginger to help keep skin clear. The Body Shop recommends this mask for people with all skin types, although the clay in the mask is particularly helpful for those with oily skin. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Wash your face with a facial cleanser. Avoid highly-medicated cleansers or harsh facial scrubs to decrease your risk of skin irritation. The Body Shop recommends a cleanser designed for oily skin or their Seaweed Purifying Cleanser.

    • 2

Rinse with warm water but do not dry your face.

    • 3

Put a small amount of the Warming Mineral Mask on your fingertips and spread it evenly over your damp face. A little goes a long way---use just enough to cover your face evenly with a thin layer. Avoid getting the mask near your eyes. The mask will begin to warm shortly after you apply it.

    • 4

Leave the mask on your face for five minutes. After the five minutes is up, rinse the mask off completely with warm water.

    • 5

Dry your face with a clean towel and apply your regular facial moisturizer. The Body Shop recommends following the mask with their Seaweed Shine Control Moisturizer.

    • 6

Use the mask once or twice a week to take advantage of the cleansing benefits.

Tips & Warnings

  • Stop using the Warming Mineral Mask if you notice any skin irritation during or after the treatment. Talk to your dermatologist if you experience these symptoms while using the mask.
