How to Load a Scotch Tape Dispenser

It can be a big pain to go to wrap a bunch of Christmas presents and have your roll of Scotch Tape continue to stick to itself. First, you have to find the end of the tape and then try to peel it from itself. This is where the tape dispenser comes in. A tape dispenser holds the tape and keeps the end available for your use, making wrapping packages a whole lot easier.

Things You'll Need:

• Scotch Tape dispenser
• Scotch Tape

1. Take the packaging off of your Scotch Tape.

2. Take the cylinder knob out of the tape dispenser. It is white and sits in the middle of the dispenser.

3. Place the roll of Scotch Tape over the cylinder with the sticky side of the Scotch Tape facing down.

4. Set the cylinder back in the tape dispenser with the sticky part of the tape facing the metal teeth end of the dispenser.

5. Pull the end of the Scotch Tape over the metal teeth. Place your finger on the metal teeth to hold the tape in place and tear off the end of the tape by pulling in a diagonal fashion.

Tips & Warnings

• Replace when the old roll of Scotch Tape runs out.
• Watch out for those metal teeth. They can cut you if you are not careful.
