How to Use Skype With a Dell Axim X51v

Skype is a useful PC program for communicating with others. However, what most don't know is that it Skype is also available in a mobile version. You can easily install Skype for your Dell Axim X51v and be chatting with others wherever you have Internet access.

• Dell Axim X51v
• Wireless connection
• SD storage card inserted in Axim

Instructions

1. Connect to the Internet on your Axim X51v by enabling wireless. Connect to an available wireless network near you.

2. On your Axim's web browser, navigate to the Skype mobile installation site (see link in Resources).

3. Download the installer for Windows Mobile. Save this file to an SD storage card inserted in your Axim.

4. After the download has completed, use your file manager to navigate to the installer program. Click on it to begin Skype's install. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the install.

5. In the start menu on your Axim, navigate to Programs, then click on "Skype." You can now chat with friends, make calls and use all the features of Skype with your handheld device.

Tips & Warnings

• If you wish to install many applications on your Axim, purchase a large SD storage card for the device.
• Only use wireless networks that you have permission to access.
