Tips & Warnings

  • Make multiple pina coladas at the same time by tripling the ingredients.

  • To whip up a quick batch of pina coladas, try one of the premade mixes sold in liquor and grocery stores.

  • You can make a chi-chi cocktail by substituting vodka for rum, or a strawberry pina colada by blending three or four sliced strawberries with the other ingredients.

  • Look for cans clearly labeled as coconut cream; it's not the same thing as coconut milk.

  • Avoid making more than three pina coladas at once; most blenders cannot handle much more than this and will not be able to effectively mix the ingredients.
