How to Make Glow in the Dark Goo
At a certain age, every kid loves gooey, icky slimy stuff. If you do not mind the "ick-factor" but do mind paying for the grossness, then make your own glow-in-the-dark goo at home using items that, for the most part, you probably already have in your craft cart.
Things You'll Need
- 4 teaspoons of borax
- Glow in the dark paint
- 2 cups of standard children's white glue
- 2 ¾ cups of warm water
- Several mixing bowls
- Spoons
Instructions

1
Mix the Elmer's glue and 1 ½ cups of the warm water together. They will form a milky, white mixture. You can stir them with a spoon until they are fully mixed, then set them aside.
-
2
Mix the borax and the rest of the warm water together in a separate bowl. Stir them together with a different spoon from the one you used to stir the glue and the water.

3
Pour 2 ounces of glow in the dark paint into a third bowl. This may ruin your bowl, so you might want to use a plastic bowl that you can throw away. If not, definitely use a metal one rather than china or wood.

4
Combine everything in the glow-in-the-dark paint bowl. Stir everything together using firm, steady strokes. Mixing the ingredients will cause this concoction to turn semi-solid. The paint will be suspended inside the mixture and won't dry out. However, it will always glow.

Tips & Warnings
If you want a color other than yellow-green for your glowing goo, then use a different color glow-in-the-dark paint instead of trying to dye it with food coloring.
Do not let children eat this goo.
