How to Dye Sugar
Colored sugar is an easy way to add colorful decoration to desserts, but it can be very expensive. You can easily make your own in a wide array of colors with just a few items and ingredients. While the exact colors you want may not be available straight from the bottles of commercially available food coloring, you can mix colors to create the desired shade. If you're using the sugar on a moist element, such as a frosting, you may want to add the sugar at the last moment in case the colors bleed into the frosting. Does this Spark an idea?
