How to Clean Pashmina Shawls
Pashmina is a delicate type of cashmere wool that feels luxurious against the skin. The wool comes from pashmina goats, which are indigenous to the Himalayan mountain regions of Nepal. The wool is collected from the goats and woven into scarves in places all over the world, most famously in the Nepalese city of Kashmir. Most pashmina shawls are a blend of 70 percent pashmina and 30 percent silk. Some, however, are a blend of 50 percent pashmina and 50 percent silk. Because of the delicate nature of the fabric, pashmina shawls must be handled delicately and carefully cleaned and preserved. Does this Spark an idea?
