Cleaning Your Dell Computer Flat Screen
-
1
Power down your computer and unplug your monitor from its power source. This will help you avoid any electric shock or static charge that could be associated with cleaning your Dell flat screen monitor.
-
2
Using a soft cloth, wipe your screen down. Make sure the cloth is not abrasive. Try to use the same kind of cloth one would use to clean a pair of glasses, or a cloth baby's diaper. If you're looking for a more commercial product, I've found that the ShamWow does a wonderful job cleaning an LCD screen.

For tougher cleaning action, pick a good cleaning solution. If your screen is more than just a little dusty, you might need a little moisture to make it clean. Seek out a non-abrasive cleanser, made specifically for LCD screens, at your local electronics store. A good example is Klear Screen, though many others are on the market.

Tips & Warnings
For the best results when wiping down your Dell flat screen monitor, apply even pressure and move your cloth in a straight line. This will help prevent streaks.
Do not use abrasive liquids, such as alcohol or household cleaners, on your Dell computer flat screen. Even tap water could be too dangerous for your screen. If you must use a cleanser, be sure it has been specifically designed to clean your flat screen display.
