How to Make Rice in an E-Wave Food Steamer
If you have an E-Wave food steamer, you can make perfectly cooked rice with little effort. These instructions will guide you to make long grain or wild rice in your E-wave, and in just 30 minutes, you will have fluffy, tasty rice ready for dinner. Some E-wave three-tier food steamers do not come with a rice bowl. In that case, you can use a small bowl that will fit into one of the steamer compartments and still let you place the lid on top. Things You'll Need
- E-wave food steamer
- 1 cup long grain rice or wild rice
- 1 1/4 cups of water
- Water to fill to MAX line in reservoir (about 5 cups)
- Small bowl to fit in steamer compartment or rice bowl included with E-wave (see Tip section below)

Fill the reservoir with water up to the line. Replace the water reservoir inside the E-wave.

Plug the E-wave into an electrical outlet.

Put the rice and 1 1/4 cups water into the rice steamer bowl that came included with the E-wave. You can also use a small bowl that will fit inside one of the steamer compartments.

Place the bowl of rice in the bottom steamer container, and place the lid on top. Put the steamer container onto the E-wave base. You will not need the top two tiers. Set those aside.

Press the "+" sign or "-" sign until you see the number 1 displayed on the LCD screen. This is the rice mode.

Wait 33 minutes for the rice to cook. The LCD display will count down the remaining time. Listen for the four beeps that indicate that the cycle is finished.

After the time has elapsed, lift the lid, fluff the rice with a fork and serve.

Tips & Warnings
Use a heat proof bowl that is small enough to fit completely inside the steamer compartment to allow steam to flow on all sides.
Do not operate appliance unattended.
