1
Cleanse face with your regular cleanser and dry thoroughly. It is best to apply a refining mask to clean, dry skin for the mask to adhere to skin and work properly.
-
2
Apply a small amount of the mask to your fingertips and begin spreading on your face. Focus on areas like your forehead, nose and chin and anywhere else you need to treat your skin. Cover skin with an even layer of the mask treatment, but do not rub in.

3
Allow the refining mask to dry on the skin for 10 to 15 minutes. The mask will begin to harden and possibly flake. It is normal for the formula to harden and leaving it on for the suggested amount of time allows the mask to work properly.
-
4
Rinse the mask off with cool water. Gently pat your skin dry with a towel and avoid rubbing the skin. Apply any moisturizer or other skin product as per your normal routine.
-
5
Use your refining mask 2 to 3 times a week. If using the Proactiv Refining Mask, you can use it as a spot treatment overnight on acne or troubled areas.
