Accuracy is the name of the game with paintballs, because if you are shooting at any target, the main object is to hit it. Knowing just a little bit about your paintball gun and ammunition can really change your level of accuracy even before you start practicing.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 16-inch barrel
  1. Step 1

Get a 16-inch barrel. There may be other sized barrels out there, but 16 inches is the optimal size.

  2. Step 2

Use the right paintballs for the weather. Cold-weather and warm-weather paintballs are manufactured. Warm-weather paintballs will contract and dent in colder weather; therefore, they will not shoot straight.

  3. Step 3

Use compressed air instead or CO2. Compressed air is more stable because it is in its natural state. CO2 is a liquid that is converted to gas when you pull the trigger. That chemical change--although nearly instantaneous--is not perfect, and it will not push your paintballs exactly the same way down the barrel every time.

Tips & Warnings
  • Obviously, your aim will improve with practice. Devote some time each week to practicing shooting with your optimized paintball gun, and you will soon be a deadly force on the paintball field.
  • Do not ever play paintball without the proper protective gear.
