Step 1
utility knife for removing caulk around back splashFirst remove the caulking around the top of the sink top with a sharp blade, Make sure you don't damage the wall. You may also have to remove a mirror that sits above the vanity if it is on top of the back splash.
-
Step 2
supply shut offTurn the water off leading to the faucet, and remove the supply lines that feed the water. It is best to remove them from the valve and remove the vanity as a whole assembly. Now remove the drain nut and pull up on the vanity in a twisting upward motion.
-
Step 3
faucet w/ drainLay the new vanity on it's side and install the faucet and the drain. You will want to install new supply lines on the faucet at this time. It is easier than doing it later.
-
Step 4
Install the new top down making sure to align the drain into the trap. Depending on the material, you are either going to glue it or fasten it with screws from underneath. After it is installed and the supply lines are connected calk around the top and test for leaks.
