I'll bet your windows are a bit dingy from the winter snows and now the rains right? Would you like that beautiful sun to shine through your windows without seeing dirt and streaks?! Follow my simple steps and you will be on your way to gorgeous windows in no time!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 soft rags (old diaper cloths work great!)
  • squeegie with a rubber blade
  • window cleaner
  • time and elbow grease!
  1. Step 1

Your first order of business will be to make sure that you have all of your supplies ready. Double check that you have at least 2 soft rags, a squeegie and some window cleaner. You will need more rags as these two get wet and dirty-usually after cleaning 4 windows inside and out I get a new set of rags.

  2. Step 2

To start off with-spray the inside of your window with your cleaner so that it is soaking wet. Make sure you get the entire window!

Designate one of the rags for this step only--Take a rag and using a little elbow grease, scrub that window! Get all of the corners and along the edges. Finger prints, kitty/puppy nose prints, streaks, etc.

  3. Step 3

Next spray your window again with a light coating of cleaner. This time take your squeegie and scrape off the window cleaner. This is where your other rag comes in. Wipe the blade of the squeegie with the clean dry rag and continue to scrape the cleaner off of the window. After each scrape, wipe the blade dry.

When you are finished with the squeegie, take the drier rag (the one you used to wipe the squeegie) and wipe dry the edges and corners of the windows.

Stand back and enjoy the sunshine!

Tips & Warnings
  • When cleaning inside and outside of the window, scrape horizontally on the inside and vertically on the outside. This way if you see any streaks, you will know right away if it is inside or out!
  • Be sure to change towels often, the cleaner and drier the towels, the cleaner your windows will be!
  • Be sure to leave a window open while you are cleaning them so that you do not get overcome or sick from the smell of the window cleaner
