How to Make Cheesy Egg Casserole with Bacon

Casserole's are ideal because you can make them ahead of time and then just throw them in the oven for dinner. This cheesy egg casserole with bacon can be made for breakfast or for dinner.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 7 eggs
  • 2 cups of 2% milk
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 5 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 of a green pepper
  • 1/2 of an onion
  • Frying pan
  • Casserole dish
  1. Step 1

    Cook 5 slices of bacon in a frying pan. Place them on a paper towel when they are done to drain out the grease.

  2. Step 2

    Clean the frying pan and cook your green pepper and onion until soft. Make sure you chop up the green pepper and the onion first.

  3. Step 3

    Beat 7 eggs and 2 cups of milk in a mixing bowl. You can do this by hand or with a hand mixer.

  4. Step 4

    Add cooked green peppers and onions to the eggs in the mixing bowl.

  5. Step 5

    Pour the egg mixture in a casserole dish. If your casserole dish in not non-stick then you will want to spray it with Pam first.

  6. Step 6

    Sprinkle on shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled up bacon.

  7. Step 7

    Cook in the oven at 350 degrees F. for 35-30 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Serve with wheat toast or hash browns.
  • Use turkey bacon instead of regular bacon to make a healthier casserole.
  • Use sausage instead of bacon.
  • Add a little salt and pepper for flavor.
  • Use pot holders to remove the casserole from the oven or you will burn your hands.
