Things You'll Need:
- ceramic flower pot
- pictures to scan
- glue
- decoupage
- potting soil
- plant
-
Step 1
First you will need a ceramic flower pot. This could be a new one or one purchased at a yard sale.
-
Step 2
Next find all the photos that you would like to place on the pot. You could go with several themes depending on the Holiday. For Mother's Day we did a pot with all the childrens pictures when they were little. The size of the pot will determine on how many pictures you can add. Get them all together and lay the out on a table or work surface.
-
Step 3
Take the photos and position them on the pot to see how they would look.
Next scan all the photos into the scanner on your computer and print the pictures.
Then cut the pictures out.
Cover the pot with a white glue.
Glue your pictures on to the pot.
After the pot is totally dry you can cover the entire picture area with decopauge. Put enough on so all the pictures are well covered.
After pot has dried over night place a plant inside the pot. And now you have the perfect gift for that special someone.

on 4/4/2009 Good idea I never even thought of that. Being a Grandma that would be so cool to have all the grandkids each year. Thank you so much for your comment.

on 4/4/2009 This is a fun idea, and easy enough for even young kids to do for their Mom's. I think it would be fun to do this every year for Mother's Day - using new pictures of the kids each year. Over time, you would have an entire collection of memory pots and could make a memory garden!
