Step 1
The tell tail "R"
Take a close look at the letter "R" in Prada's logo. The "R" should always have a notch taken out of it, on the top of the R's right leg. This tell all notch, is consistent with the store's logo and on all of the Prada products. No slash? It's a fake for sure. -
Step 2
Check the Inside label
Open up the Prada bag, or if buying online, request a close up picture of the inside prada label. The label should say "Prada Made in Italy" Fake Prada bags often have extra words such as, Milano or missing made in Italy. A real Prada bag will always have "Prada made in Italy" . Nothing more, nothing less. -
Step 3
Look for the Authenticity card
Each Prada bag has an authenticity code printed inside the bag. This code is also present in an envelope outside the bag. The two codes should match up, providing proof of authenticity. -
Step 4
If you are buying new or used Prada, this should help you avoid getting ripped off by a fake prada bag. By studying the real thing, the fakes are easy to spot.
