Step 1
**Ask the kids**
Ever consider asking your children where they want to go for vacation? Think about it: If the kids just want to go visit their grandparents for a week, then book a flight to their hometown and have a great time. -
Step 2
**Ask the neighbor**
Always ask the next door neighbors where they are going with their kids. You might even be able to coordinate a family vacation with them and get a discount. Ask for brochures and other vacation literature before they trash it all. -
Step 3
**Ask at your church**
Another good place to look for family vacation deals is to ask around at church. Large families have good insights and information for where to go and how much to spend. -
Step 4
**Check online**
Look for deals online. When you submit a search, put in words like cheap, discount, free, value, discounted, and deals. Spend at least one hour searching and always call to find out if the deals have changed. -
Step 5
**Check the local library**
Go the free public library and ask the librarian if any new books or magazines have come in about family vacation ideas. Librarians are a great resource because they read everything. Also, librarians have families too.
