Witch Hazel is a plant indigenous to North America and has curative powers. Diluted it makes an excellent rinse for inflamed oral mucous membranes and bleeding gums. Here are some other uses of which derivatives of this plant can help.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    For sunburns and minor burns, pour 1 cup of boiling water, over 2 Tbsp. of dried witch-hazel leaves and bark. Let this steep for 15 minutes while covered. Dip a linen cloth into the tea and apply it to the burn 2 to 3 times a day. You can also fill a spray bottle with the tea and sprits the burn ever 15 minutes

  2. Step 2

    For Hemorrhoids, pour 2 cups of boiling water over ¼ cup of dried witch-hazel bark and steep for 15 minutes. Make a compress using this tea. Word on the street is that this also works to reduce varicose vein in the legs.

  3. Step 3

    For diarrhea, blend witch-hazel and blackberry to fix up the situation. Steep 1 tsp. each of dried witch-hazel bark and dried blackberry leaves 1 cup of boiled water for 10 minutes, strain and drink up to 3 times a day and no longer than three days. If after the third day you are still suffering, go see your doctor as you have an issue too serious for a home remedy.
