How to Teach Your Toddler Colors While Having Fun

Teaching Toddlers Colors is not as hard as you may think. If you approach it right you will be amazed how fast your little ones will learn.

Making color teaching fun will help your kids learn faster

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Toys of different colors
  • Papers of different colors
  1. Step 1

    The first thing you will need to do is believe in yourself. You should be confident that you have what it takes to help your child learn.
    Remember you are your first child teacher. Try to set a good example by making him/her enjoy learning

  2. Step 2

    Find a red or blue toy, and start playing with it. After your child get used to the first color, take another toy of another color and start playing with it.

  3. Step 3

    Take two sheets of paper the same color as the two toys. Put each paper on the floor and put the matching toy on top of each paper.

  4. Step 4

    Take the toy off and ask your child to put it on the matching color.
    When playing the game repeat as much as possible the color to help your child remember it easier.

  5. Step 5

    You will be amazed how much this game will help your child learn his colors. Try to play it on a regular basis adding a new color each time.

Tips & Warnings
  • Find similar toys but with different colors, preferably cars for boys and tea cups for girls.
  • You don't need to spend money on buying new things, use their own toys to teach them.
  • Do not get frustrated if your Toddler is having problem remembering the colors.
  • kids will feel your frustration and will have difficulties learning.
  • Do not get discouraged if your toddler is not learning and just want to play. He/she still hears you.
