I sport my sunless tan every year and have learned some helpful tips and tricks on how to keep it looking great. Read on to find out how to maintain a sunless tan.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Apply at Least Every 3 Days to Maintain a Sunless Tan

    Apply Often

In order to maintain a sunless tan, the tanner must be applied often. It will start to fade after a few days. So it needs to be applied after every shower or bath and no less than every 3 days.

The way that the sunless tanner is applied will determine how great it will look. See my articles in the resource section on how to apply sunless tanner for some great tips.

  2. Step 2
Moisturize to Maintain a Sunless Tan

    Moisturize

To maintain a sunless tan make sure that your skin is always moisturized. I suggest putting on lotion daily. This will keep your skin soft and supple and will prevent your tan from looking scaley. Be sure and use a nice, thick, emolient lotion, not a cheapy, thin one. Thin lotions tend to evaporate too quickly, not providing enough moisture.

  3. Step 3
Use SPF Lotion to Maintain a Sunless Tan

    Protection

Use SPF protection to maintain a sunless tan! Just because your skin looks tan does not mean that you do not need sun protection. You can still easily sunburn! So to maintain a sunless tan and keep your skin healthy and young, make SURE to use sun protection. Sunburns cause premature aging, wrinkles and more seriously...skin cancer.
