Avoid excess alcohol. Yes, we all know that drinking is a part of spring break culture, but know one is forcing you to drink excessively. Try limiting yourself to one or two drinks a day.

  2. Step 2

Drink a glass of water before every meal. Not only will the extra water prevent overeating, but it will ward off dehydration and keep you feeling good throughout your spring break trip. Avoid calorie laden sodas and sugary drinks.

  3. Step 3

Avoid deep fried foods. Instead, fill up with fruits and vegetables that are local to the region where you're vacationing. For example, if you're vacationing in Mexico, try fresh salads with locally grown peppers or fresh jicama. By eating this way, you can avoid excessive calories and sample local cuisine.

  4. Step 4
Dancing is a great way to burn extra calories.

Dance the night away. Dancing can burn several hundred calories per hour, so whether you're hitting a beach side dance club, or attending a local music festival, grooving your body is a good way to stay in shape during spring break.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try not to obsess over your diet during spring break. Instead, focus on having fun and staying healthy.
  • Make sure that the tap water at your spring break vacation destination is drinkable. When in doubt, drink bottled water.
