This is a low effort high concept costume. Dressing up as a meteor shower is perfect for an astronomy fan. You can put it together in minutes if you have all the ingredients.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Black pants
  • black shirt
  • plastic glow in the dark shooting stars.
  • Large saftey pins
  1. Step 1

Put on the black pants, and the black shirt. It doesn't really matter what sort of pants and shirt, as long as it's black. All navy blue could work too. You're clothes are going to represent the night sky.

  2. Step 2

Now to represent the meteor shower, find some glow in the dark plastic shooting stars. You want the kind that have holes in the tail. There are several makers of glow in the dark shooting stars. They are usually sold in a kit for decorating the ceiling of a child's bedroom. If you want to buy them locally look in toy stores.

  3. Step 3

Take the safety pins and pin the stars all over your pants and shirt. It's a good idea to skip all the parts of your body that touch a chair while you sit down. If you want to cover your back, use a jacket instead of a shirt, so you can take it off when you sit down.

Tips & Warnings
  • A moon mask or face paint is a nice touch.
  • Safety pins, despite their name can poke you. If you're doing this for a small child, or are worried about this, consider sewing the stars on loosely instead.
