Things You'll Need:
- 16 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 cups butter, unsalted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp instant coffee (optional)
- 8 eggs, slightly beaten
- raspberries
- KFP chocolate sauce
- Spring form pan
- Pot
- Aluminum foil
-
Step 1
First, prepare your pan and the oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease the spring form pan, and put aluminum foil around the bottom in case it leaks.
-
Step 2
Heat chocolate, butter, sugar, water, and instant coffee grains (optional) over low heat, stirring constantly. When mixture is melted and smooth, then remove from heat.
-
Step 3
Separately, lightly beat eggs. Stir into chocolate mixture until evenly mixed.
-
Step 4
Pour chocolate mixture into spring form pan. Cook until a knife comes out clean from the center (about 50 minutes).
-
Step 5
Allow to cool. Remove from spring form pan. Cover with foil and refrigerate until chilled (4+ hours).
-
Step 6
Before serving, decorate chocolate cake with kosher for passover chocolate sauce (or melted chocolate mixed with milk) and raspberries.
