This chocolate cake recipe tastes far too delicious to be Kosher for Passover. There's nothing worse than Passover cake that tastes like a bad imitation of real cake. Fear not! This chocolate cake recipe is so tasty, your Bubbe will get suspicious and make you list the ingredients. I even make this chocolate cake recipe when Passover is over!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 16 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 cups butter, unsalted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp instant coffee (optional)
  • 8 eggs, slightly beaten
  • raspberries
  • KFP chocolate sauce
  • Spring form pan
  • Pot
  • Aluminum foil
  1. Step 1

First, prepare your pan and the oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease the spring form pan, and put aluminum foil around the bottom in case it leaks.

  2. Step 2

Heat chocolate, butter, sugar, water, and instant coffee grains (optional) over low heat, stirring constantly. When mixture is melted and smooth, then remove from heat.

  3. Step 3

Separately, lightly beat eggs. Stir into chocolate mixture until evenly mixed.

  4. Step 4

Pour chocolate mixture into spring form pan. Cook until a knife comes out clean from the center (about 50 minutes).

  5. Step 5

Allow to cool. Remove from spring form pan. Cover with foil and refrigerate until chilled (4+ hours).

  6. Step 6

Before serving, decorate chocolate cake with kosher for passover chocolate sauce (or melted chocolate mixed with milk) and raspberries.

Tips & Warnings
  • Unlike other Kosher for Passover flourless cakes, this chocolate cake recipe does not separate the eggs or whip the whites. The end result is a more fudge-like cake. Yummmmmmy.
  • Warning: Bubbe will not believe this is Kosher for Passover. You may want to print the recipe as proof.
