How to Make a Melon Ball Cocktail

The Melon Ball is a great cocktail with a honeydew melon taste. It can be made many different ways but most all of the recipes taste great. This is my favorite recipe for the famous Melon Ball Cocktail.

Things You'll Need:

• 2 ounces of Vodka
• 1 ounce of Midori
• Orange Juice
• Ice
• Highball Glass
• Cocktail Shaker
• Cocktail Strainer
• Optional Melon Wedge or Orange Slice

1. 

   First it is important to know that most drink recipes are not absolute. Many people make drinks different ways. This is my favorite tasting of the different recipes for a Melon Ball. So start by filling a High Ball Glass about half full with ice.

2. 

   Now add a few pieces of ice and two ounces of vodka (preferably Absolut) to the cocktail shaker.

3. 

   Next add one ounce of Midori melon liqueur to the cocktail shaker along with about six ounces of orange juice.

4. 

   Now that all ingredients are in the cocktail shaker, shake all ingredients together. Pour the drink through a cocktail strainer into the high ball glass.

5. 

   Finally the drink can be garnished with a slice of honeydew melon or slice of orange on the rim of the glass. The finished drink is a wonderful tasting Melon Ball Cocktail. Good drinks always taste better with good friends. Bottoms up!!

Tips & Warnings

• Always use top shelf ingredients whenever possible to make sure that a premium drink is made. If it is worth making, then it is worth doing right.
• There are different ways to make this drink. Some people put only an ounce of Vodka and two ounces of Midori. Other people use pineapple juice instead of orange juice. Experiment with this drink and try different strengths and tastes.
• Always drink responsibly and in moderation.
• Please don't drink and drive.
