Grape HyacinthGrape Hyacinth, or Muscari, are a beautiful, brilliant blue flower with a sweet fragrance. It doesn't take many bulbs to spread into a mass planting. Grape Hyacinth prefer full sun to partial shade and bloom in mid-Spring. They grow to a height of 4 to 7 inches tall.

Lily of the ValleyLily of the Valley, or Convallaria majalis, are very fragrant, dainty white bell flowers (though there are also pink Lily of the Valley) that bloom late spring and like to spread and naturalize. Lily of the Valley prefer partial shade and will grow to heights of 6 to 12 inches.

Scilla FlowerScilla, or Scilla siberica, provide a beautiful carpet of dazzling blue flowers. Scilla prefer sun to partial shade, bloom in early spring, and grow to a height of 4 to 6 inches.

Snowdrops FlowerSnowdrops, or Galanthus, look like snowdrops and they actually bloom while snow is still falling. One drawback of Snowdrops is that they can't take the extreme heat. These flowers look beautiful planted along walkways. Snowdrop flowers bloom in very early spring and enjoy full sun. they grow to a height of 4 to 6 inches.

Winter AconiteWinter Aconite, or Eranthis cilicica, is a beautiful flower that can form clumps quickly. They boast yellow flowers that bloom in very early spring. Winter Aconites prefer full sun and grow to heights of 4 to 6 inches. They are a nice compliment to Scilla flowers and can be planted together.

All of these flowers are beautiful, but most importantly, the deer don't like them.
