You work very hard to have a beautiful flower garden, finally see them bloom, only to wake the next morning to find them eaten to the ground. If deer forage your foliage, you can choose certain flowers that will put an end to the highly destructive, costly, and annoying damage. There are several species of flowers that are deer-resistant. These flowers are beautiful and the deer will walk on by them without ever thinking twice about foraging them. Read more to learn how to choose deer resistant spring blooming bulbs.

    Grape Hyacinth

    Grape Hyacinth

Grape Hyacinth, or Muscari, are a beautiful, brilliant blue flower with a sweet fragrance. It doesn't take many bulbs to spread into a mass planting. Grape Hyacinth prefer full sun to partial shade and bloom in mid-Spring. They grow to a height of 4 to 7 inches tall.

  5. Step 5
    Winter Aconite

    Winter Aconite

Winter Aconite, or Eranthis cilicica, is a beautiful flower that can form clumps quickly. They boast yellow flowers that bloom in very early spring. Winter Aconites prefer full sun and grow to heights of 4 to 6 inches. They are a nice compliment to Scilla flowers and can be planted together.

  6. Step 6

All of these flowers are beautiful, but most importantly, the deer don't like them.
