Things You'll Need:
- Easter basket
- Easter grass
- Easter candy
- Plastic Easter eggs
- Various goodies
-
Step 1
Choose a funky-colored Easter basket and Easter grass. That boring green Easter grass now comes in bright colors such as purple and blue. You can even mix colors if you like.
-
Step 2
Include classic Easter candy that you know your teenager likes. Chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and peeps are great choices.
-
Step 3
Fill plastic Easter eggs with money. Quarters, dimes, and nickels make great egg fillers. Your teenager can use the coinage to help fund a mall purchase.
-
Step 4
Add a small age-appropriate gift that your teenager will love. A DVD, CD, movie theater gift card, rolled-up t-shirt, or piece of costume jewelry might be a good choice.
-
Step 5
Include something to remind your teenager of childhood fun. A fun spring activity is a great choice - think kite, sidewalk chalk, or bubbles. Your teenager might think it's an odd choice, but once they give in and have fun, he/she will remember what it's like to be a child on Easter morning!

on 4/10/2009 Good ideas for easter baskets for the older set. As my boys got older I added small things like clippers, razors, car mags, and aftershave, but their favorite part is still the Pez dispensers and Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. :)

on 3/31/2009 That sounds fun. I usually do include a few different things for my kids. To try and cut down on the amount of candy that they consume.
