Tattoo Designs For A Necklace

If you've ever wanted to make tattoo designs into art and wear them as jewelry, then you are in luck! Tattoo designs can be transformed into necklaces, earrings and bracelets. It's easy to do by using temporary tattoo transfers.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Temporary Tattoos
  • White Polymer Clay
  • Clear Gloss Paint
  1. Step 1

Make tattoos into art by selecting your favorite temporary tattoo design. You can also have a custom temporary tattoo design made especially for you.

  2. Step 2

Take a little white polymer clay that either dries on its own or can be baked at a low temperature in your oven. Tattoo designs will need a hard flat surface to be applied. Roll your polymer clay into a circle for a necklace and press flat and smooth. Take a toothpick and make a little hole in the top. Later you can put a jewelry finding in the hole so you can make it into a necklace. Bake it in the oven according to the directions.

  3. Step 3

Once the clay is completely cool, it's time to apply your temporary tattoo to it. You apply the tattoo on the clay just like you would on your skin. Take your time and make sure that you rub the tattoo transfer completely onto the clay. Peel the transfer back slowly and remove.

  4. Step 4

Now it's time to coat your tattoo with a layer of clear gloss paint. You can even use clear gloss fingernail polish. Finish by either taking a piece of ribbon or leather and inserting it in the little hole you made. Now that you know how, make tattoos into necklaces to complement all your favorite body tattoos!

Tips & Warnings
  • Temporary tattoos with well-defined colors.
  • Try Black line designs on white clay.
  • Match colors to go with makeup or clothing.
  • Be careful when handling the clay when removing from the oven. Use pot holders and let the clay cool completely before touching it with your hands.
