Things You'll Need:
- front load washer
- cleansing wipes
- baking soda
- vinegar
- paper towels
-
Step 1
You will notice that when you open your front loading washing machine that there is a rubber strip that may have a little bit of water in it- this is the source of the smell.
-
Step 2
Take some paper towels and dry the area. Now fold your paper towel in half, and put vinegar on one side. With the vinegar side down, clean the entire rubber strip- bottom, top and sides.
-
Step 3
Dry the area again. Once dry Pour a small amount of baking soda on the bottom rubber strip area, smooth it around with a dry paper towel.
-
Step 4
Leave the door of the front loading washing machine cracked open to let it air out. Leaving it cracked open between washing cycles can also help to alleviate the smell.

on 4/11/2009 I have no sense of smell, but my fiance seems to have an overly developed one. I will do this today. Thanks!
