Things You'll Need:
- Camera
- Paper, pens, scissors
- Scrapbook!
-
Step 1
Although I created this as a scrapbook layout, it could also be a framed piece. Step one is to think about what your child likes to do or wear. Pick about five of the four of the outfits they wear most often.
-
Step 2
Lay out each outfit on the floor, get on a chair and take a picture of it from above. Try to get the shot as level as possible and always about the same distance from each outfit. Be sure to pose the legs and arms in a similar angle to how you'll pose your child. Get those developed or printed.
-
Step 3
Now dress your child in underclothes he/she won't be embarrassed by later in life. (parents of teens, you know what I mean!) Have them stand with legs apart and arms out like a paper doll. Make the angle match what you did with the clothing. Get this image developed or printed.
-
Step 4
Take your paper, pens or whatever supplies you like to use and make a background on your page. I wanted mine to look old fashioned, so I layered the paper using a scalloped edge that resembles lace. I also gave it a title so it looked like a page from a paper doll book
-
Step 5
Using small detail scissors (Fiskars makes a great pair) cut out each outfit and your child. Glue small white tabs on the shoulders and in a few other places to make them look like the tabs that hold on paper doll clothes. Put it all together and voila! You have your child made into a living doll ;)
