Things You'll Need:
- Beer
- Amaretto (Disaronno)
- Bacardi 151 Dark Rum
- Beer Mug
- Shot Glass
- Lighter
- Friends to drink with
-
Step 1
First start by filling a beer mug anywhere from one half to two-thirds full with beer. Mostly any type will do (Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Light, etc.) but DO NOT use a flavored beer because it takes away from the taste of the drink.
-
Step 2
Next pour a shot glass about two-thirds to three-fourths full of amaretto (Disaronno.) It is very important that the amaretto and the 151 (next step) are not chilled. They will not burn as well if they have been chilled.
-
Step 3
Now float the shot glass the rest of the way full with 151 Dark Rum (preferably Bacardi 151.) To float the rum, pour it over a spoon into the shot glass. This step is important to keep the rum from mixing with the amaretto.
-
Step 4
Finally the fun part. Light the dark rum with a lighter, drop it into the glass of beer and bottoms up!! It is ok to make a quick toast but do not leave the shot on glass too long or it will get very hot and could crack the shot glass. Remember good drinks are always better with good friends!! Enjoy the great drink and notice how much it tastes like a Dr. Pepper with a little kick!!
