How to Give Clear Nail Polish a Twist
Clear nail polish is a great way to give your nails a little extra shine, but it gets boring after a while. Add a little kick to clear nail polish to make it stand out without being too loud. Using this process, you can create your own custom color. Remember to track what you like, so that you can use an empty bottle and store a larger amount once you find that perfect combination. Things You'll Need
- Clear nail polish
- Color nail polish
- Loose glitter
- Cardboard or plastic
- Cotton swab

Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of clear nail polish onto a piece of cardboard or plastic.

Dip the brush from the color nail polish into the clear polish that is on the cardboard or plastic.

Mix the clear nail polish with the colored brush to create a lighter hue of the colored polish. Add more color, if you like, adding slowly. If the color gets too dark, add more clear nail polish.

Sprinkle glitter onto the color you are creating and mix it around with a cotton swab. If you use the brush from either of the nail polishes, you'll get glitter into your base polishes.

Using a spare brush to paint your nails if you added glitter to avoid adding glitter back to your polishes. If you didn't use glitter, use the brush from the color nail polish.

Apply a topcoat of clear nail polish to set your nails.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure that your nails are completely dry before doing too much with your hands. With the glitter added, it takes longer to dry around the pieces of it.
