Simplifying Musky fishing on Alum Creek

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First of all don't hunt Bear with a switch ... Made sure you have stout enough equipment and 50lb. Power Pro line before you due battle.

  2. Step 2

A good depth finder is important for all angling and is a must for chasing Muskies..You will also need some strong easy to release rod holders (4 at least) to hold the rods for what could be hours of trolling between strikes.

  3. Step 3

Troll points and drops...ANY TIME OF THE DAY...AT SPEEDS FROM 2.5 MPH UP TO 4MPH. sET YOUR BAITS AT DIFERENT depths and use several different shapes and colors. I have caught most of my fish on the old school pattern of red head and white body and my biggest fish (49in. 38lbs.) on a super shad red and white.

  4. Step 4

Its just that simple...Drive the baits eat a sandwich read a book...or whatever you must do to pass the time...Muskies are stubborn but when they react the wait is worth it!!

  5. Step 5

One more thing...Bring a big net...I meen BIG NET!! we once lost a 40+lb. fish trying to sqezze it into a walley net..didnt work.
