How to spruce up your yard and house for more curb appeal.

Instructions

1. 

   First go around your house and clean up all of the left over leaves and debris out of your landscape beds. Apply new caulking and paint to areas where needed. Remove any ugly or over sized plant material from beds. Trim all of the rest of your shrubs and trees back to size.

2. 

   Purchase some annual flowers by the flat and or spring bulbs for your landscape beds. Make an area for bulb plantings. Plant Annuals out in front of shrub plantings or around tree beds. Rake out all landscape beds evenly. Make sure that the soil level is highest next to the house for drainage purposes.

3. 

   Use a spade shovel to put a new edge on all of your beds. Spread some weed preventative. A weed seed pre-emergent through out the beds.(Preen). Then purchase a quality fine shredded mulch. You can purchase mulch in bulk or bags. Spread the mulch evenly through out all of your landscape beds. Amazingly you have a whole new look to your house and you've added value.

Tips & Warnings

• If you don't use a pre-emergent you will get a lot of weed seeds coming up.
