Things You'll Need:
- Essential oil
- Diffuser
-
Step 1
Aromatherapy SpaAromathearpy is being used as a complementary alternative medicine with modern medicine. Using aromatherapy at home is the most cost effective way of getting an aromatherapy treatment. At a spa or salon aromatherapy can cost hundreds of dollars especially if you're getting a massage.
Here are some ways you can do it yourself: -
Step 2
Essential oils.Smoking
If you are having withdrawals from tying to quit smoking get Black Pepper essential oil and put a few drops on a cotton ball and inhale. You can easily keep the cotton ball in your shirt pocket as well.
Tension:
Put a few drops of Neroli oil into a bath of hot water. Relax and inhale deeply, the tension will slowly melt away.
Aches:
Heat a wet washcloth in the microwave for about thirty seconds; then sprinkle a couple of drops of Everlast or Everlasting oil on it; apply to the aching joint or bruise.
Stress:
Give or get a foot massage using massage oil containing Roman chamomile. It is a little on the spendy side but still cheaper than a spa treatment.
Arthritis Pain and or bronchitis:
Add a few drops of Eucalyptus oil to your vaporizer. This will pump out the steam relieving sinuses, help with your bronchial tube and relieves arthritis pain.
Air:
To make the air in your home you smell beautiful and relieve stress you can add oils to that old potpourri that never really had a scent anyway. You can also add a few drops to your laundry or humidifier.
Essential oil candles can be used in a bathroom unlit, if made with real essential oil the fragrance will fill a small room. -
Step 3
aroma therapistIf you chose to use an aroma therapist make sure they have some experience in organic chemistry the body and have plenty of experience in blending oils. In the U.S there are no legal standards for aroma therapist, only Great Britain does at this time. You can also get recommendations from other medical people like Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic medicine. And research yourself.
You can also buy candles made with essential oils and incense.
