OPEN UP ALL OF THE WINDOWS - On a beautiful day or a least one that is not rainy or snowy, open up all the windows of your home to air it out. Keep them open for at least an hour. If you do not see much change, you may want to do it again the next day.

LOOK FOR THE SOURCE - Is there something smelly in your home. May be an old throw rug or some old shoes. If there is a smell that you can not get rid of, try to find the source. When you do, either clean it thoroughly or throw it out.

CLEAN THE RUGS - Sprinkle baking soda all over your rug. Allow it time to absorb the odors and then vacuum it up. You can also use baking soda on other things that you can vacuum such as a sofa or mattress.

CLEAN OUT THE REFRIGERATOR - Many smells will disappear if you clean out your refrigerator. After you have it cleaned out, place an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator and one in the freezer.

PLACE BOXES OF BAKING SODA - Anywhere that smells may build up, such as under your kitchen sink, next to the trash can, etc. The baking soda will absorb the bad odors. Don't forget to change the boxes every three months or as needed.
