How to Hang Drapery

Hanging drapery is easy if you know what you are doing. Follow these simple steps for success!

• Curtain Rod
• Latter
• Curtain

1. I think the hardest part of dressing a window is choosing the style, color, and hardware. Once the tough part is done, hanging them is easy. Get out a ladder and make sure it is stable.

2. Next, gently slide the curtain rod into the sleeve on top of the curtain. Be careful not to snag the curtain. Sometimes it is easier if you have a friend help by holding the rod while you gently slide the curtain in place. For an inexpensive way to make your own curtain swag, you can twist one curtain and insert both ends separately.

3. Now, use the latter to hang the rod back on the wall and tada! Your curtain/drapery is complete! (Be sure not to fall off of the latter while you admire your finished product).

Tips & Warnings

• It's always a good idea to have help holding the latter.
• Be careful not to fall!
