Things You'll Need:
- A variety of eggs
- Images cut from magazines or books
- Mod Podge
- Paint Brushes
-
Step 1
Collect images to decorate your Easter eggs from magazines or books. Floral or botanical images can create a sophisticated look or use pictures from children's books to create a more playful look. Carefully cut the images out using sharp scissors or an Exacto knife.
-
Step 2
If using eggs, be sure to blow them out first. You can also use wooden eggs that you find in your local craft store. You can also use ostrich or emu eggs to create a truly unique work of art. Consider painting some of your eggs with acrylic paint to provide different color palettes for your Easter images.
-
Step 3
Once your painted eggs are dry, cover the back of your images with a thin layer of Mod Podge (this can be purchased at any craft store). Carefully place your cut image on the egg and paint Mod Podge all over the egg and then let dry.
-
Step 4
Display your Easter egg works of art by placing on top of empty candlesticks. This creates a visually pleasing, unique holiday . Your finished product will be something that you'll want to keep for years to come.
Happy Easter!
