Things You'll Need:
- Your favorite store or mall
- Money
- An open, inventive mind
-
Step 1
Make a budget plan - or at least keep a rough idea in your head of how much you want to spend on your new spring/summer wardrobe!
-
Step 2
Don't be afraid of color - darker, earthier colors are more suited for fall and winter, whereas you really want to add a bright splash to your spring/summer clothing.
-
Step 3
The easiest way to transition your tops from spring to summer is by buying colorful graphic tees and a cropped denim jacket - this way, in the spring you can wear short sleeves with your jacket, and in the summer you can just leave on the cute t-shirts and leave your jacket in the closet.
-
Step 4
The great thing about shoes in the spring and summer is, one pair fits both seasons! Go for cute sandals with small heels or some flats - and if your outfit is solid colors, wear them with metallic gold or silver shoes to add a little shine. Shoes that snake around your leg a little go great with capris or shorts.
-
Step 5
Spring can get a little chilly, and summer can get too hot for jeans, so what can you do?
You can buy shorts and layer them with tights in the spring, when it's too cold to go bare-legged, and leave out your tights during spring, to show off your legs. (For tips on getting smooth legs and arms, you can visit my other eHow article!) -
Step 6
Don't forget - hats look cute no matter what season it is!
Also make sure to accessorize - adding a long, sparkly necklace adds a cute touch, or long dangly earrings - just make sure not to overdo it.
You should have one piece of flashy, colorful jewlery, but not more, otherwise it seems unbalanced and overdone.
