There is such a thing as life long learning. Why stop after high school or college? Thanks to the internet and a few niche companies, it's possible to continue learning for your entire life, without breaking the bank!

1. 

   Let's start with free online courses. You can definitely do a Google search, which will prove effective. I've done some browsing myself and one resource I recommend to get quality, college level courses for free is Education Portal. Here is the link: http://education-portal.com/articles/Universities_with_the_Best_Free_Online_Courses.html This will list many well known universities that offer free lectures and courses online.

   I'm including a link here to an actual course offered online for free by the University of California at Irvine on physics. This is so you can see the quality and set up of some of these free courses without having to do too much clicking around on the net.    ITunes U is another great resource for free online courses. Simply access the Itunes Store and do a search for ITunes U. You'll have plenty of categories to choose from. This is an excellent free resource either for adults seeking to further their education or for students hoping to get a jump start on a course.

4. Online learning might not be for you. If you live in an area that has a local college, check their site or call the Registrar's office and ask about a community outreach program. Many schools do offer free courses, lectures and programs for members of the community, usually exclusively adults or senior citizens.

5. There are also other resources for college level courses that are not free, but are still economical. The one I would recommend is The Teaching Company which can be found at: www.teach12.com Here, you will find many college level courses, over 200 in total, ranging many disciplines. They are all taught by top professors from all over the country. They have rotating sales, some courses are as low as $19.95. You'll even find some high school level courses perfect for home schooling.
