Be a better parent

I am glad to see some readers come here! Not that you are a bad parent but you are looking for more ways to be good to you children. Now, I'm no professional or anything but I have seen parents treat kids in some of the most worst ways to ever be treated. Parents have been verbally abusive, misguided, mistreated, misdirected and disrespect. Parents wonder why their children act the way they do. Why is it that my child does not listen to me? How could you be a good parent if when you speak to your kids they storm out of the room? How could you be a good parent if you haven't seen your child's report card for the entire semester? Well, as we can see there are many problems that we are facing in this world today. The results for our kids is: dropping out of school, becoming homeless and unemployed. Below are just a few suggestions to be a better parent.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Please stop yelling and shouting at your children. Kids raised under this kind of madness think it's ok to treat their children this way. This also rubs off on their friends and peers at school. The reason your children yell and shout is because you do it!

  2. Step 2

Stop calling your children stupid and dumb! This causes rebellion often following them into their teen years. Carrying with them a secret hatred for you in their hearts and that is not good.

  3. Step 3

Spend quality time with your children talk and listen to them and what they have to say. Pay attention to them and let them know that you love them.

  4. Step 4

Create and set a pattern so that everyday when your child comes home from school check their book bags thoroughly and have them to explain what they learned at school that day. This shows them that you are definitely involved in their school work and they will do better to please you. This is also good to be sure that they aren't bringing home any drugs etc.

  5. Step 5

There is the opinion we all debate on whether to spank your children or is it a form of child abuse. Well you have to spank them if they do wrong especially at an early age. If you don't they'll show nothing but disrespect to you. You think you have a problem on your hands now wait until they get older...

Tips & Warnings
  • Listen, acknowledge and respond to their concerns
  • Stop treating your kids like they are your friends
  • Set better examples by changing the way you do things instead of telling them not to do what you do.
  • Your children will only do what you allow
  • BE BLESSED
