How to Make Homemade Birthday Cards

Birthday cards are a dime a dozen, so make yours stand out- create a home made birthday card. Taking the time to make one says you REALLY care and didn't just run into the store and buy one.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • computer or colored markers
  • photos
  1. Step 1

    Things that are home made mean more. It is giving a part of yourself to someone. It lets them know that you truly took the time out of your busy schedule to put the thought and effort into making them a card.

  2. Step 2

    Make a one of a kind individualized birthday card by collecting old photos or clipping things from a magazine that remind you of the person who is celebrating their birthday.

  3. Step 3

    Go on line or research through books for famous quotable quotes that remind you of the person. If they are funny, maybe use a line from Bob Hope or Don Rickles. Maybe they are turning 50 and as Rodney Dangerfield would have said, they get "no respect."

  4. Step 4

    If you can combine all of these ideas on a computer and work with photoshop - great, If not, cut and color, paste the photos and write the quotes or the special message you have for the birthday boy or girl.

Tips & Warnings
  • Think of sentimental or funny things. Use something that will make the person smile.
