Step 1
Make sure everyone on the block knows all the details about your intent to organize a multi-family yard sale this Spring.Organizing a multi-family yard sale is easier than you might think. If you have already organized your own yard sale in the past, putting together a multi-family sale this Spring will only differ slightly and may even turn ot to be more profitable for you. The first thing you need to do is send out a letter to everyone on the block informing them of your intent. You should include possible dates and have each family check off which weekend they would prefer this way you can go with the majority. Create a list of suggested items and include specific things you are looking for to help boost the Spring sale such as someone to sell refreshments, Spring themed baked goods or other items. Include your telephone number for any questions they may have as well as a stamped envelope for those folks that may be a little too busy to drop their form off to your mailbox directly. You will also want to include the charity's information if you plan on donating some of the proceeds from the Spring sake to a charitable organization which can be a good idea.

Step 2
Grouping all the families together for the Spring sale can draw a larger crowd.Once you receive the information back from the families regarding the Spring sale you can begin to organize it. The date of the Spring sale should be set and everyone should be notified of who will be selling refreshments, baked goods and other items so as not to overlap. If someone has a very large yard you may want to consider having all of the tables at one location rather than have everyone set up individually at their own homes. This makes the shopping experience better for people attending the Spring sale and also draws in large crowds.

Step 3
Selling items for families that cannot attend the Spring sale can turn into more profits for you or your charity.Any family that cannot make it to the Spring sale should be offered the option to provide you with items to sell for them. You would simply set up a table and sticker each item with the family's house number or initials and take a portion of the profits for your efforts. This is the best way to maximize your own earnings and will also draw more attention to the sale which will be larger than if you had a single family Spring sale. If other families still so not want to participate you can consider asking them for donations to sell that will go towards the charity you are supporting.
