How to Find Out if you are Eligible for the Making Home Affordable Government Stimulus Program Money

The government has recently made stimulus funds available to homeowners who are either in foreclosure, at risk of foreclosure or whose home is costing them more than what it is actually worth. You may be eligible to receive stimulus money from the government through the Making Home Affordable Program.

Instructions

1. Check Your Eligibility
   Find out if you are eligible for the Making Home Affordable Program by visiting their website and clicking on Eligibility in the tab at the top of the page. On the next page click on Find Out if You are Eligible.

2. Home Affordable Refinance
   You will answer questions related to your loan and mortgage payments in order to determine if you are eligible for the Making Home Affordable Stimulus Program. Answer yes or no to the questions to determine your eligibility.

3. Refinance or Modification of Your Loan
   You may be eligible for either a loan refinancing or loan modification. Answer questions in order to find which loan program will work for you.
   Call 1-888-995-HOPE (4673) to reach a HUD-approved housing counselor if you have already missed mortgage payments.You may qualify for assistance from the stimulus funded program called the Making Home Affordable Program.
