Things You'll Need:
- Silica sand. Offered by most glass repair shop.

Step 1
First test the scratches by running your fingers over the scratches. If they are deep and grooved where you can feel them with your fingers. This scratch is to deep to fill. Only the scratches that are hair line. Meaning you can see them but can't feel them. These kinds of scratches can be fixed.

Step 2
Lay your class surface that you are repairing flat. Clean thoroughly with a glass cleaner to remove any fine particles. You wouldn't want to create any more scratches.

Step 3
Sprinkle the silica sand over the area that is scratched. Apply a little more Windex to activate the silica sand. Rub it around in a circular motion to fill in the scratches. Allow to dry and repeat this step until your scratches are filled.

Step 4
For chip's in a window created by flying rocks for example can be filled with a liquid glass.. Also provided by most window repair companies. Those grooved scratches we were talking about in the beginning can be filled with liquid glass.
