Things You'll Need:

  • Energy!
  1. Step 1

Entertaining a toddler is a full time job. In this article I will list some attractions as well as some free things that are toddler friendly in Fort Worth, Texas. Of course an all time favorite of many visitors and locals is the Fort Worth Zoo. The Zoo has been ranked as a top zoo in the nation by Family Life magazine, one of the top zoos in the South by Southern Living Reader's Choice Awards, and named the number one attraction in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex by Zagat Survey U.S. Family Travel Guide. You can find out more about the exhibits at www.fortworthzoo.com

  2. Step 2

If your kids like to paint, there is an art studio close to downtown just for kids. Its called Van Grow Art for kids. There are a few bounce houses in the area that are great fun for toddlers and kids. Links will be at the bottom of the article.

  3. Step 3

If you are looking for free things to do. Hulen Mall and Ridgmar mall have indoor soft play areas for kids. The Trinity River area has many trails and walking areas as well as picnic tables. Visiting Petsmart is a fun way for kids to see animals without an admission fee. Central market on Hulen Street also has an outdoor play area for kids 2 and up. Borders books across the street has afternoon readings for children.

on 4/28/2009 I LOVE Metroplexbaby.com! I used to visit the fort worth zoo weekly too but recently bought a membership to the Dallas zoo because they offer a discount on the Metroplex Baby Savings Card. I never thought about the malls, thank you!
