1. First, making sure that you have "NO TRESPASSING" signs posted on your property. If someone is tearing them down when you put them up, you can notify the police that they are tearing them down. Calling law enforcement when you have unwanted guests on your land is very important. This will let law enforcement know that you do not want anyone on your land.

2. Calling law enforcement every time someone trespasses will help ensure that people will keep away from your property. Sometimes there is nothing that certain law enforcement can do to help since they do not have atv's to ride down and around your property with. If law enforcement tells you not to call every time someone is trespassing, then you should abide by what they instruct you to do.

3. If you live in an area that you need an atv to get around on your property, then it may be difficult for the police to get down there in their vehicles. Sometimes the game wardens can do that depending on what the situation is. If you are having problems with people hunting and fishing on your property, you may want to call your states Department of Natural Resources. They should be able to tell you what they can or cannot do for you.

4. To find your local Department of Natural Resources, you can type in a search on Google that says "(your state) Department of Natural Resources." It never hurts to call them or email them and ask if they can help you.

5. Sometimes you may have to have information on the trespassers in order to prosecute them, so if you can find out from others who they are and where they live it may help you out some. I would not recommend asking the trespassers to find out this information as they may know why you are asking them and besides it is not safe to go after them for anything. Let law enforcement handle it and follow up with procedures even if it means getting a lawyer and filing a suit.
