How to Make an All-Natural Window Cleaner

Get your windows sparkling clean with an all-natural cleaning solution.

If you're tired of spending your money on commercial cleaning products and don't want to bring any more chemicals into the house, you can easily make your own all-natural window cleaner. It only requires a couple of common household ingredients, and even has a pleasant scent to boot.

Things You'll Need

• Spray bottle
• Dish soap
• Lavender sprigs
• Lemon verbana leaves
• Saucepan
• Cheesecloth
• Funnel
• White vinegar
• Mild liquid soap
• Essential oil of lavender
• Essential oil of lemon verbena

Instructions

1. Wash the spray bottle and nozzle using mild soapy water. Sterilize the spray bottle and nozzle using hot water. Allow the bottle and nozzle to air dry.

2. Add 2 to 3 cups of cold water to a small saucepan. Add sprigs of lavender and leaves of verbena to the saucepan. Bring the saucepan to a boil, then lower the heat. Simmer for 10 minutes and remove from the burner to cool.

3. Strain the mixture through cheesecloth and funnel into a spray bottle. Add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Add 2 drops of mild liquid soap. Add 2 drops each of organic essential oil of lemon verbena and lavender.

4. Close the bottle and shake well.

5. Store the cleaner in a cool place.
