  1. Step 1

    Start at this website for any home school planning.

    It should give you the basic ideas about what is required in your state and what sort of records you should be keeping.

  2. Step 2

    Utilize Amazon and Epinions to read reviews on the curriculums you are considering buying. These will offer you insight as to which one may be the best fit for you.

  3. Step 3

    Once you have chosen the curriculum, and keep in mind none is neccessary if you are creative and willing to put forth extra work. Otherwise the resources listed here are great additions to any textbooks bought. You can forgo buying that and buy used books off of Amazon or Ebay and create your own challenging program. It is easy and fun! In addition you can use Ebay and Amazon to purchase any curriculum materials you have picked out.

    Looking to teach a nutrition unit? Look no further! With free registration you are able to access an entire unit of study. This was fun and educational for my child. We loved this program. The best thing of all is that this is FREE!

    If you want to quiz your child on their math skills, this link is for you! In addition to creating and giving the child the their quiz, it tallys up their score for you as well. It doesn't get much easier than this!

    Looking for a fun way to get them to understand some basic math concepts? This site offers fun flash games that help reinforce those math ideas.

    Scholastics doesn't just sell leading books in the education market, they have an excellent resource tool for any home school or teacher! Utilize their free lesson plans and web quests. We did entire units with history webquests available there. The children enjoy learning and this encourages some independant learning and reading skills as well. In addition Scholastic guards their webquest activities by letting you know what link you are clicking on.
